Former governor of Benue State, Gabriel Suswam has described as baseless the news making the rounds on the blogsphere that he was arrested in the United Kingdom for allegedly beating his wife, Yemisi to coma during a squabble.
A local blogger in the state claimed that Suswam who left the shores of Nigeria few days after handing over to Samuel Ortom reportedly injured his wife during the brawl which landed him in the police net.
In a swift reaction via his official Facebook account, the former governor called on the general public to disregard the rumour, saying that there’s no iota of truth in the story.
“Disregard any news about a squabble between me and my dear wife. We’re fine, enjoy your day.
